The Moleskin Project IV is a collective sketchbook show where artist are all given the same support which is a 5"x 8" Moleskin sketchbook and are free to create anything they desire using any medium. I was blown away by all the different aesthetics of the 80 plus artists, they ranged from hyper-realistic to gestures, from classical to pop. I was most impressed with how all the artists were able to produce high quality work given the size of the support, which was basically the size of notebook paper. I was also impressed with the Moleskin sketchbook because it proved to be a very high quality sketchbook to withstand the various mediums such oil paint, acrylic, watercolor, carving, and inking.
I have so many favorite pieces from this gallery and a whole of more artist that I must now follow.
